Good morning, Weekly Bev! I hope you had a great Fourth of July weekend 🇺🇸 Let’s jump into it!
🚰 Hydrant Update
Me this week with Hydrant
Our beta phase continues to chug along! Thank you to everyone who has submitted feedback. Almost every piece of feedback we've received has been about how Hydrant works and how to navigate the site. It’s been invaluable in shaping our FAQ, improving our user communication, and the site’s overall user experience. This journey of interacting with real users and talking with potential partners has been extremely rewarding. We’re obsessed with delivering value to our creators, and we hit a couple key milestones this past week that I think are downstream of this applied obsession…
1) We've successfully processed our first large scale contract with a prominent creator. This is a huge step because we’re earning trust! Trusting Hydrant to process your hard-earned invoices is a big deal and we don’t take it lightly.
2) It’s no shock to you guys that I deeply understand the perspective of the creator in the payment process, but one thing that has been surprising is learning how helpful Hydrant can be for brands. We’ve begun to understand how tedious it is for brands to onboard new accounts and manage payouts for multiple parties, and I think addressing these issues could be a huge growth vector for Hydrant.
3) As point #1 alludes to…this month is going to be our very first month generating revenue! This is incredibly validating for our approach and efforts over the past year+. At the end of the day, after all of the cake and watermelon, a business is only worth what it can generate in cash, and we’re finally on our way to being a real business. Let’s go!
One of many super cool aspects of servicing the creator space with a product is that a lot of you guys have your own audiences, which means there’s a powerful flywheel available to products who really deliver value to the broader creator community. Our goal is to deliver such a ridiculous amount of value to the creators who trust us with their contracts that they organically want to tell their own communities about Hydrant. Lot more work to be done.

I am always looking for a fun new breakfast recipe. Especially one that I can consider on the “healthy” side of things. Recently, I have been experimenting with some Turkish Egg variations and it has been one of my favorites for the spring / summer. The yogurt base + eggs has some solid protein to it, and you can mix and match the produce with what you have on hand. Everyone has their own version of healthy, but this one is a green light in my book. Here is the recipe:
gotta find the fresh produce
Skyr yogurt base mixed with the following (but you can experiment):
Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper
Lemon
Grated Garlic
Dill
Red / Green Onion
Pan fried eggs
Topped with chili crunch oil and pesto :)
A slice or two of sourdough
enjoy
👀 Looking Ahead…
Okay…I promise…this is (maybe) the final time I recap Day 1000 🙂 I just have a few more thoughts to get off my chest…
First, I’m very happy to report all of the brands that participated in the big day loved the photos and videos that came of it. The engagement on all of the Day 1000 content was also great—about three times my daily average!
Second, reaching Day 1000 and proving to all of you who have invested time watching the vlog that I could work towards such a big goal, step-by-step, and see it come to reality was a watershed moment for me. It was confidence building, energizing, and validating.
The event also showed me the power of us coming together in-person. The day felt like I had taken the vlog from 3D to 4D, and we definitely need more of that. More interactive events are coming. Brunches, runs, pickleball tournaments. I want to continue making you guys part of the story.
Thank you to all of you for reading! If you made it this far, hit reply and let me know your favorite breakfast recipe you’ve been whipping up lately 🙂
Sincerely,
Jack
